This morning I woke to Mum yelling at me. No surprises there. Apparently we were going to be late, all thanks to yours truly. Eyes open, I could see light pushing its way under my curtains. She was right. Dragged myself from under the covers and zombied my way to the bathroom. A quick glance in the mirror. Usual unexorcised horror movie extra staring back. Yay. Thanked Dad, once again, for the looks I inherited.  The big event we were “late” for was a violin recital by a group of pathetically untalented youngsters, one of whom happened to be my darling brother.
